1 Standard Login Process

To access your BlockFi account, navigate to the official BlockFi website and click the "Log In" button. Enter your registered email address and password exactly as you created them during account setup.

Pro Tip: Use the "Remember this device" option only on your personal, secure computers to avoid frequent logins while maintaining security.

After entering your credentials, you may be prompted to complete two-factor authentication if you have it enabled. This adds an extra layer of security to protect your account and assets.

2 Two-Factor Authentication Setup

Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) is strongly recommended for all BlockFi accounts. This security feature requires you to provide two forms of identification when logging in.

Setting Up 2FA:

  • Log into your BlockFi account and navigate to Security Settings
  • Select "Enable Two-Factor Authentication"
  • Choose between Google Authenticator or Authy app
  • Scan the QR code with your authenticator app
  • Enter the 6-digit code generated by the app to verify
  • Save your backup codes in a secure location
Security Alert: Never share your 2FA codes with anyone. BlockFi support will never ask for these codes. If you lose access to your 2FA device, you'll need your backup codes to regain access.

3 Password Recovery Process

If you've forgotten your BlockFi password, click the "Forgot Password" link on the login page. You'll receive a password reset email with instructions to create a new secure password.

Password Requirements:

  • Minimum 8 characters (12+ recommended)
  • At least one uppercase letter
  • At least one lowercase letter
  • At least one number
  • At least one special character (!@#$%^&*)
  • Should not contain personal information

After resetting your password, you'll need to log in again and may need to reconfirm your 2FA settings if you're using a new device.

Incorrect Password

Ensure Caps Lock is off and you're entering the correct password. Use the "Forgot Password" feature if needed.

2FA Not Working

Check that your authenticator app time is synchronized. If issues persist, use your backup codes to disable and re-enable 2FA.

Account Locked

Email Not Received

Check your spam folder and ensure you're checking the email associated with your BlockFi account. Whitelist BlockFi emails.
